Pizza hut had a pan crust stuffed crust pizza version for a bit where instead of filling the outer crust with cheese, they'd add that cheese layer on top. Meant you got all the deliciousness of the thick, greasy, doughy, pan crust in addition to that lovely mozarella breadstick effect for the outer crust. Used to get it with ground beef or pepperoni and pineapple, weekly.
Also, back in Atlanta, Johnny's New York Style Pizza made an italian calzone so mouth-wateringly greasy, it would eat through the cardboard pizza box by the time my 3 minute ride back to the office was over.
