When he has to make a choice of what to do with QB other things matter.
Randy Moss is just a guy at this point.
Michael Crabtree is great in his slot/underneath WR role. Not a dynamic guy such as Calvin Johnson Dez Bryant A.J. Green Julio Jones ect
Kendall Hunter OUT FORE THE SEASON who had been great when subbing for Gore.
Kyle Williams OUT FORE THE SEASON was only the 4th WR but still 20-30 yards a game gone.
Vernon Davis is flawed. And Harbaugh and co couldn't find a way to highlight what he does best like in 2009 2010.
Delanie Walker is infuriating. Dropped as many passes as he caught.
Mario Manningham was doing good and not dropping passes like he had in the past. Would eventually get hurt as well when hung out to dry by a double clutched pass.
Harbaugh thought. 'This offense is gonna need some sort of kick in the pants to win the Super Bowl'
That is my guess on what was the deciding factor on keeping Kaepernick
And he wasn't wrong but also can't say he was right. The Super Bowl was a place where swap of a couple dumb plays and few highlight plays for some unremarkable plays could of got the 49ers a win.
