The Rams were going to take him 2 picks later. So this 3rd round stuff is a myth. He was going late 1st, early 2nd. Exacly where he did go. The Rams said so publically btw. If we didn't pick him they would a few picks later. So he wouldn't be there in the 3rd.
He put up real good production in the Big Ten. He ran in the 4.3's. He was pretty coveted at least at the time.
Now hindsight says he sucks. But that is hindsight. You can always have a perfect draft every year with hindsight looking back on it with knowledge from the future. Right? LOL.
