"Special teams ace" most of the time is just a dude who can never get on the field, like Copper, and sounds like a Pioli reason to keep bums.

The majority of the bubble guys who beat Brown for a roster spot are either never going to see the field or will be as bad if not worse in depth situations. All the while being much worse on special teams.
As with anything, I'll give it time. But if Parker and Cooper are not terrific in nickel/dime or don't have upside to be starters or quality backups, then this was a terrible cut. And I'm especially not crazy about cutting Brown while keeping 6 safeties on the roster.
