Kristian Dyer (Jets beatwriter) just stated on NFLN that without question, the Jets had Sanchez locked into the starting job prior to the injury. That it was clear from inside that Geno was "gifted" the starting job because of Rex's poor decision to play Sanchez in that game where he was injured.
Either way, I won't judge Geno too harshly until he gives us reason to in games that count. If forced to bet money, I'd say he struggles mightily and falls apart emotionally soon after. But whatever... not even sure why KC or its fans should care at this point.
