I went with Jeff George because ... Jeff George, c'mon.
Second was hard, but I went with Kelly Stouffer. As far as I know, he remains the only rookie to ever sit out an entire year because he wouldn't agree to a contract. Has there ever been another full-year rookie contract holdout? (I don't count Bo Jackson in that since his holdout was for different reasons.)
Chuck Bednarik is hard to pass up because he seems to think he's the most important person in the world, but he wasn't important enough to win my vote.
Bruce Smith? Big ego, and his attempt to break the sack record with a walker and a cane were pathetic, but it's not enough to win my vote.
