I watched #58 year after chasing and sacking quarterbacks and loved the guy as a family member. Off the top of my head I think he had 7 or 8 different quarterbacks during that time. Will Shields went through the same issue, it's why Tony Gonzalez went to a team that just drafted a quarterback in Matt Ryan. He didn't go to a veteran team.

I've seen teams turn their shit around in a year or two so we don't have to wait. Granted with much better QB draft classes but it's the point of taking a chance and go with it.

I live in a fantasy world I know this much to be true or at least it's just wishful thinking to draft a quarterback. EJ Manuel would have been worth that 1.1 pick. I think he could have help this team out significantly even as a rookie make rookie mistakes but we would be better off.

Could not disagree more. In a decent QB class, he does not go 1st round. Im not in the draft a QB just to draft one camp, and as much as I want a QB, I would have been pissed had we taken him, and people of your thinking would have been happy not seeing one snap he took in college. I watched a ton of Manuel and am shocked he went in the 1st.
