The point is this isn't really about Pryor. I just used him as an example because Oakland was just recently burned big time by Jamarcus Russell but they still believe in developing a young QB through playing him and going through the growing pains with the player, over the 'band-aid' approach.

Do you follow the NFL? If so, you'd realize that Oakland had no intention of starting Pryor.
If they had intended to start Pryor, they would not have spent a 4th round pick on Wilson or traded for Matt Flynn and his bloated contract.
