It's a bit ironic, because Geno Smith had more interceptions than touchdowns, not many passing yards, played a pedestrian game, and had to be bailed out by this decade's Dwayne Rudd to squeak out a win against a Bucs team that is pretty bad.

And by the way, this week proved Alex Smith still sucks. He had a pair of TD passes, no interceptions, completed above 60%, rated above 90.0, but none of that counts because they were playing a team that is pretty bad.

Everyone just sees whatever they want to see.

If Geno threw 5 picks next week, big deal. He needs to mature.

If he sucks all year and gets benched for Sanchez, well, it's only his first season.

If he sucked for 3 years and got released by the Jets and was out of football, it was only getting drafted by a bad team that kept him out of the hall of fame.
