You know damn well Alex Smith with some help around him can get a team to a SB.

And no it doesn't have to be ridiculous help, just good supporting cast.

He isn't Aaron Rodgers, he isn't Manning, he isn't Brees.

Neither will Geno ever be close.

The problem here in general is too many people think you have to be elite or you suck. The reality is there are only a few elite QB's and then a bunch of guys than can get it done with some help.

edit: I am confident I am one of the more sane people here. This place is rather extreme on either end.
Why do I know that?

Do I know that because he had the best overall team in football around him in 2011 and he couldn't get it done? (Though they did beat the mighty, mighty Saints in the playoffs, wow!)
