Our OC was just building the offense. Losing the WR in week 5 for the year that Alex had the best chemistry with in Josh Morgan? Only the 16th ranked pass defense?

... and he couldn't get it done? Was he supposed to field the punts to avoid the muffed ones too?

****ing people here have lost their minds. Truck-loads of intellectual dishonesty all to twist some reeruned point they cling to. Ass-clown.
I've posted the stats showing Anthony Davis giving up the most sacks in the NFL on a team that people are quick to point out didn't pass the ball a lot.
The Center you are a little tough on. Goodwin was signed for his experience but he is still OK physically. Just looks much worse next to Iupati.

2011 Power Rankings
http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings/_/year/2011/week/1

26. 49ers

Braylon Edwards was probably supposed to be the WR in the role Moss played. Outside guy.
Crabtree's foot was a problem again and was unable to practice.
Josh Morgan had shown himself at least a competent WR.

Braylon got hurt in week 2. Out a month. Was in a few games after that and then was cut for performance or whatever issues with the team.

Josh Morgan broke his leg in week 5.

Crabtree you hoped would emerge in his 3rd year.

He was still up and down in 2011. Forced into the #1 WR role while he is not that prototypical guy didn't help and to be kind he comes across as not the smartest guy so probably not quick to pick up the offense.

Vernon Davis quiet year is more on both him and the coaches. Vernon never developed into a natural TE but even still what he can do in the passing game wasn't implemented enough.

A team with that level of question with the pass targets is gonna have issues no matter the QB.

And Frank Gore is a great back but he is a grinder.

He is not like Jamaal Charles or McCoy or AP who can cut the throat of a defense or flat out dominate.

Look at the final power rankings in 2011. GreenBay and New Orleans were still the top 2 NFC teams.
