Definitely switch to hard difficulty once you grasp controls. Some of the weapons you find are borderline OP.
Honestly in many of the dark zones I felt like Rick Grimes during his psychotic episode roaming the prison corridors after Lori died, just one shotting the **** out of every zombie he saw.
In other news, car traps are not safe to stand on.
