Crue never really reeled me in. I had a couple of their albums, but it was mostly because they were mastered to really thump on good speakers.
The bass drum on Kickstart My Heart work out your woofers unlike much of anything you'll find.
I was much more AC-DC, Nazareth, Beastie Boys, GnR than any of the hair metal, and Crue was the prissiest of the hair bands outside Poison you could want.
