Are you sure that didn't just happen? I mean, I feel like the season WAS on the line there for the Chargers.

Rivers only tends to play worth a damn AFTER the Chargers season flies off the rails. Then he'll 'play them back into contention' before fully and finally imploding in week 17.

Rivers just had his 'peak Rivers' game. There's at least a small chance he settles into his 'garbage time Rivers' level or the next 6 weeks or so.
