This reminds me of watching a Doug Williams bio a while back. He was a first-round draft pick, and when Joe Gibbs (then a Buccaneers assistant coach) came down to talk to him, he took Doug and his future wife to dinner.
At McDonalds.
Williams wrote it off as the Buccaneers being cheapskates, but I'm also not sure if it's racist.
