Old timer story...
Tailgating in November maybe 8-9 years ago, Lot b, had my shelter up, grill rolling and parking lot filling up. Had a pot of spiced cider hot. I served spiced cider with butterscotch schnapps...great stuff but sneaky as hell. Son was setting up the meat for me to get ready to cook..had 14 customers coming to join us. We had a full bar set up on table. Rain was falling, generally shitty weather and I hear a voice behind me ask if he could shelter from the rain....
So I turn around and here I am face to face with Willie Lanier.....it was the annual game when the ring of honor guys came back..who knew? We had a great visit, what a nice humble and genuine man
Was an honor to fix him a Cider...and he loved that kick from the schnapps....even took one to go!
Arrowhead gives so many fun memories...
