I don't see how you can say it's a non issue. Nobody said he has to run a majority of plays from center, but it's still something that has to be an option in any offense. There's a reason no NFL team runs exclusively out of the shotgun.
Without the threat of a pass play from under center defenders will always key on the run when under center.
It's still something to monitor. I'm sure Mahomes will pick it up fine, but it's a false assumption to just say it's not an issue and not to worry about it. I can almost guarantee it's been an emphasis in practice since he's been here. Even if he operates out of the shotgun the majority of the time, plays from under center are still going to be a part of the playbook and something he has to learn.
