“Larry Johnson and Omar Easy do not play the same position. Omar Easy is a fullback behind Tony Richardson and if Tony went down Omar can go in and play the position and not make a mental mistake. He’s not the blocker that Tony Richardson is but not many people are. Omar also makes a contribution to special teams. Larry Johnson isn’t really a special teams-type player. I hope to have him active this week. If Omar is down chances are Larry will be up. He ought to be up every weekend. The 46-man rule in the National Football League and every time someone gets me talking about it, it gets me going. To pay 700 athletes full salary to stand on the sideline and not get to play is a waste of time, a waste of development, and it’s a stupid, old-fashioned rule.”
