it used to be out.. and then the FDA Pulled it.. made the company do some more research about 1.5 years go.... now about 2 months ago FDA gave it some Limited approval and its a PITA to dispense
the worst drug to dispense is (for Multiple Myeloma and Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS)) "REVLIMID" - MSRP on 21 pills is $18,000- and its older cousin "Thalomid"- both drugs require Auth. #'s from the Manufacturer ( Celgene corp.) before the MD can write the RX and the auth is only good for a certain # of days... if we as a Pharmacy dont fill the drug within that timeframe then the MD must get a new auth #. also before we dispense we must get a Confirmation # from the Mftr. - anyway PAIN IN MY ASS
