I started on these things years ago, before they started charging a premium for the hex recievers. They do nothing for function, only form. I'd suggest you start w/their cheapo model unless you have a burning desire for one of the other models. Their 'ex sniper' models and sniper models...I'd say take a pass on those. There were sniper-rigged guns in WWII, but I don't think there were 1/10th of the sniper guns made then that are on sale these days. +coff+ scam +coff+ Those reworked m39's I listed are your best bang for the buck if you need something over and above the $80 bin. Or do what I do, just look 'em over everytime you see one in the pawn shops - people buy 'em for $80, sell 'em for $50, you can buy 'em again for $80. That's where I found my 'Finn re-worked' model. It's pretty slick, even if I'm sorta partial. And the more you know about 'em, the more fun it is to find a 'real deal'.
P.S. The little model 38's, toward the bottom of that 2nd url, are nice - and hard to find these days. They kick like a country mule, and throw an 8 foot fireball, which is why they moved on to the model 44. Those 44's, some never got issued. They have a bayonet that should be extended when shooting the gun, per the old timers. Those russians sure liked a bayonet.
