The Fishing Thread
In general if you are catching something 2 to 3 lbs or larger it is a wiper not a white bass as they grow faster and larger. Under that size they are hard to tell apart but wiper have an extra row of teeth, a larger mouth, and are more streamlined than white bass. Striper and wiper are harder to tell apart once you start getting into the 5 lbs and up range but striper don’t reproduce much if at all so unless you are fishing on a main lake that stocks them you are unlikely to catch a striper.
For my money wiper are the hardest fighters there are. They hit hard and sustain their energy for the entire fight which they drag out for a long time.
