Kids need gifts. Adults do not.

I told my kids that this Christmas wouldn’t be as fruitful for them as the last few, when I purchased $500 dollar iPads, a PC for the oldest, X Box One and games, etc.
As it turned out, we spent way more by loading up on smaller gifts like Vivofit2’s, a couple dozen board games, games for X Box, WiiU, DS3 and a Nintendo Super NES and two wireless controllers, framed posters and more.
I don’t really expect anything, as I can purchase anything I want every day of the year but the kids want to see me open something, so they picked out a few small gifts that were fine.
But dude, not the wife. I can’t just hand her a few trinkets, so she received a waterproof GoPro, Plastic Mommy Wine Glasses for play dates, Essential Oils and more.
She can
say “I don’t need anything” or “Don’t spend more than $100 on me” but that’s not reality.
