I think secondary will be targeted early in the draft regardless - the FA crop is limited and artificial salary bumps will occur because of it. I like the investment in LB/Safety early, but still don’t see the Chiefs getting a trade offer of value for Ford, especially not a first.
The Chiefs did nothing to boost the #2 TE position last offseason, so I’d be shocked if there was a significant investment this offseason. The FA options are garbage. The draft could be where it is addressed but likely on Day 3. I like Oliver but he’s likely nabbed by the middle of Round 2. Julian Love is a solid slot corner, but the roster needs outside corners. I like the Jennings and Orr picks and they realistically slot to where you have them.
