I back the badge 9 times out of 10 -
I ain't gonna do that job and someone needs to. The overwhelming majority of LEOs are there for the right reason and do an exceptional job of it.
But I do get frustrated as hell when otherwise good cops will bury their heads in the sand and/or actively hide malfeasance from one of their own.
It's the one thing that makes me take pause when I defend the law enforcement community writ large. There absolutely ARE times when they circle the wagons around a piece of shit exclusively because he's an officer and that's a black mark on the profession for sure.
