Remember that mouse the players saw and were chasing in their clubhouse before the game? Well, apparently Liam Hendricks caught it, put it in a box, and took the mouse into the Royals bullpen before the game.
After they came back and won the game, the Royals players started calling it the "rally mouse".
Well, OK. In that case I hope they get a cage and take that mouse with them on Tuesday. I don't think the mouse has super powers, but if the players think its good luck, then thats probably a good thing for them to have with them. |
NO MICKEY MOUSE OPERATION
There was quite a scene in the visiting clubhouse before the game. Royals RHP Liam Hendricks was on all fours while leading the charge to capture a mouse hiding in one corner. He eventually trapped it in a box and took it to the bullpen for the game, with the players dubbing it the "Rally Mouse."
Hendricks hopes to find the same mouse -- or another one -- before Saturday's game and keep it in the bullpen.
"Whatever works, man," manager Ned Yost said.
