Self has shown he won't sacrifice defense for offense, as far as minutes. He doesn't value shooters as much as many other softer coached teams. I haven't watched enough of the new guys to form a strong opinion either way but Self likes physical, hard nosed kids who can defend. Coming into his Jr season the word on thr street was Dick was a gifted scorer but had work to do on defense. I wouldn't be surprised to see Rice get double the minutes of Dick if he fits that bill. Early comps on Rice I've heard are Wayne Selden.
