Pioli is still the GM. It would be absurd to not even involve him in a coaching search. If Clark is driving the hire, he should have the confidence that he can have Pioli sit in meetings and help answer questions, maybe even ask a few good/relevant ones. It's up to Clark to sniff out any Pioli B.S.
By the same token, what prevents Dr. Evil from spouting off something like, "Yeah, Reid .. and I don't want to see any damn empty pizza boxes in the conference room or it's your ass. It's just the way we do things."?
