I went to 6-7 lots around my area and the stuff I ran into was NO business cards, no asking for info, NO follow up when they did get our info (I emailed a place far away and they called twice), taking calls while with a customer, lighting up a cigarette when with customer, not one walk around. Seems things have changed since I was a salesperson and maybe that's the market now.
In the end we ended up buying a car from I guy who we felt comfortable with. Lots of basic things that are said about buyers in training are really true. I ended up buying something completely different then what I started out looking at and the color really didn't matter in the end. Joe Verde was right!
