That's the strangest part of the whole damn thing.

The Rays were actually a great fit for the Royals. They had a bunch of young pitchers with plenty of upside and years of control. Guys like Cobb and Archer could contribute immediately and be around for a long time. Or if you prefer upside, how do you not get Guerreri?

This just makes no sense on any level, regardless of what you're looking for.
