Here's on additional thought...actually this 'risk' of a ban is good for the firearms community. Why? A number of people have thought about buying guns, but have never really had the time or wanted to spend the money to do it. Now with the risk of a ban they are getting off the fence and buying them while they can.
The more people that have them, the more people who hopefully will enjoy the sport and not be afraid of them. Fear of bans swell the ranks, because there is no sitting on the fence now.
