Mangers in the scheme of things don't matter much in baseball but Mathney's teams suck ass in defense and base running. It's been statistically proven on both sides of the state with him. Those 2 things are crucial to win at Kauffman Stadium. His other major blunder is how he over uses relief pitching. It's been proven in St. Louis and Kansas City. Throw in the Cal Eldred disaster and its why the Royals are in the position they are in. Changes are on the way I'm sure. They have rebuilt this team pretty good really. Young positional players are doing some rookie things for sure but they aren't bad overall. Good foundation to build on for sure. Another thing is the payroll has a shit ton of flexible with all the rooks. Royals have the cash to go get a couple pieces. Sherman is the type to do that.
There is starting to be too much smoke around changes and with a new stadium coming I'm sure changes will come this offseason.
