They lost, because Andy Reid had a 3rd n 2 staring him in the face, with little over a minute left, and he did not grasp the fact that we were 2 yards from a victory.
Lot of options to get two yards in two downs here. One, you let Patrick, who is around 400 yards at this point spread em out and plunge the dagger, you can go 3te and blast Anthony Sherman into the middle twice if needed, etc..
Instead, we design a play where an immobile Mahomes has ONE pass catcher in the pattern. Blake ****ing Bell. Like, honestly. Could you select a worse play for the situation?
Of course its a disaster, Mahomes can't run so loses yards sliding down in bounds. Our 3rd n 2 is now 4th n 6 or 8 and we punt the ball back, so they can march right down and score.
Andy calls plays late in games as if they are the first play of the first drive in the first quarter.
There's no little Andy on his shoulder that just says, hey big boy. Get 2 yards and we win right here.
