Why would you even try to win if you're the coach? Charlie probably just wanted to get a guaranteed payday and get fired. Why the hell would he want to coach at Kansas? Dude's begging to get fired. Why else would he call his team a piece of crap and then burn a QB's red shirt for half a dozen plays?
Kansas is the Chocolate Factory, and Zenger is Willy Wonka...only this Charlie isn't looking for a gold ticket. He's trying to get a pink slip.
