That's a major reason for the failure of Heroes, which was touched upon by Lindelhoff in that interview. They left it too open ended.
If every season, the priority is to "save the world" and it is indeed saved, it no longer becomes a priority.

Yeah, no worries. It's all good. I just thought you were pissed at me, and I really didn't understand that.
I used the word "believe" because (again in the interview I posted) Damon has said some people believe it and some don't.... I was just saying that I'm in the camp that whole-heartedly believes it. I'm with you. I really don't see any conceivable way that this show hasn't had a rock solid ending in mind since the beginning. And your previous posts just support that further.
