Yeah - I knew there was a reason. What a standup move by the guy to put his client's well-being ahead of his raw draft stock. He could've leaked the Chiefs interest to get teams looking to trade up to 5-6 and get him. That soups up his signing bonus and puts more money immediately in Steinberg's pocket.
Instead he recognized just how perfect the situation in KC was for his guy and kept that information under his hat. Really not something I'd expect out of an agent and pretty damn commendable.

It makes me a bit curious, though, about how other teams react to that. I could see them saying, "Man, I thought we had a great relationship with Steinberg, but he didn't give us the opportunity to trade up for our player."
Granted, they may view it as a positive that he'll protect their information as well, but I could see some teams thinking that he wasn't looking out for them as much as he was KC.
Of course, what do I care? We got Mahomes.
