To my way of thinking, they have made themselves extremely vulnerable to a libel and defamation action. Not just the "cut-down" of the recording, but the way in which they edited it and the way they promoted it before and after it aired (which is key).
Libel is typically very difficult to prove and those cases are often hard to win. But this is a very special case and KCTV5 placed their nuts on the chopping block, IMHO.

Libel is, defamation is not. Proving loss of income or revenue on fabricated AND illegally obtained evidence is in this case easy to prove. I made the post a few days ago that Hill hopefully had a notarized preliminary contract from the Chiefs before this all happened. If so its an open and close case.
