Yep.

I happen to be in the middle on the whole "police" issue. I think some of the ire is misplaced or manufactured and that helps to overshadow (by hyper-politicizing) legitimate cases of police neglect or brutality.

In this climate, you have to dot EVERY I and EVERY T. There's just no excuse for this kind of thing to happen. You're trying to rebuild reputation in the community, for right or for wrong.
