Duluth is a bitter, bitter team right now.
Lots of interceptions and a sluggish running attack did us in. Of the six teams I'm managing, I thought this one was easily the strongest, and they're the only one that has been formally eliminated.
Rivers obviously had a bad year, despite a stellar receiving corps, and I thought the offensive line was strong with Jordan Gross, Stephen Peterman, Ryan Kalil, Jon Asamoah, and Jeremy Trueblood. We lost Tim Hightower early, though, and Rashard Mendenhall just didn't get it done at halfback. Our draft needs next year will likely be halfback and right tackle.
Our defense seemed pretty strong too, though we lost Kyle Williams at DT early. The rest of the line featured Kevin Williams, Adrian Clayborn, and Elvis Dumervil and should have still been strong. We were #4 against the pass and #6 against the run, so overall we were stout despite a tendency to give up 3rd down plays. Maybe we'll upgrade at at OLB and we'll likely need to replace Jim Leonhard at FS.
