We don't get the luxury of adding free agents/waivers or trading for players like NFL GMs, so at least being able to accept traded for players would be nice.

You can accept those trades if you possess the exact thing that was traded (draft pick or player). We'll just go on the honor system to remember in the upcoming drafts if we made the trades or not.
