It can often be as easy as converting some salary to bonus. Player gets the money sooner and the team gets added cap space. I won't pretend to know all the arcane intricacies of the NFL salary cap. But I do know that teams manipulate the numbers quite frequently to make room for a new signing or extension.

OK ... I can relate, man. Restructure who, exactly? (Again, not trying to be an ass here ... just honestly curious and awash with wonderment.)
EB? Fiddy? LTD? All of them?
If you're going to enact a trade, you also need trading capital. That's picks, right? Are we seriously going all in with picks and found money (via restructuring) this year? We have The Human Trebuchet on rookie dollars for a whole bunch of years here.
Keep in mind, we need to sign Hill and Conley (I hope) and a few other guys like #95.
I'm all for it ... if we can figure out a way to do it ... just having trouble with that last part.
