And how much of that is because Green Bay almost never runs the ball in the playoffs? Would the Packers' defense be that bad if the offense kept them off the field and set that defense up with fresh legs in the 4th? And if Rodgers did tone down the explosiveness (which likely means he would have to compete in more closer 4th quarter games), does he have the chops to consistently deliver in the 4th.
Rodgers has actually been an extremely mediocre 4th quarter player. I think that's a big assumption to think that Rodgers could do the same things Big Ben or Eli did with those same teams. I know the word "game manager" comes up a lot. I prefer the word "efficient." Big Ben, Eli, and Flacco last year aren't explosive in the playoffs, but they are incredibly efficient.
