Based on this, I feel better about going against the Chiefs Planet consensus (and my own intuition) and choosing more rounds fired in the American Revolution, compared to movies.

War consists primarily of scared soldiers firing blindly.
For wars in the WW I time frame and earlier, war consisted mostly of soldiers dying of disease.
