He's not going to be able to come out every fifth day and throw even five innings. As a starter he will burn the bullpen. He could be a starter in the postseason. You expect to burn your staff there.

Yeah, we and the Cardinals want to believe but that banged up body of Carp cant just be willed by Carp to do what he wants it to do.
But his presence on the team especially in the playoffs if he can give us an inning or two has a value way beyond a couple of innings of pitching.
