They paid retail for a LT. Everything else they are getting for value.
They can still make a splash with a Jones extension and then get hyperaggressive in the draft. They could trade Willie Gay and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. They could trade Noah Gray. They could notch an additional second day pick and groom Luke Musgrave into the Kelce heir.
It can still get totally nuts.

Veach just has so many options. Post draft, there will be a pool of veterans begging to come to KC to basically save their careers like what used to happen for the Patriots. We won’t have holes. Whatever we don’t get in the draft will be filled with the Carlos Dunlap and Jerick McKinnon types. Reid & the staff will get the best out of all of them and we’ll win 14 games.
Ho hum. Yeah, I said it. This team ho hums itself to 14 wins. It’s not even hard anymore. This offseason isn’t moving the needle at all, if anything the Chiefs D has gotten drastically better and the offense will be fine because Superman wears #15, and we also have Lex Luthor as our HC. How does anyone really stand a chance?
