I don't think Kelce and Sammy have gotten there yet ... but I'm confident they will. With Mahomes, no one knows where the ball is going when a play is extended, broken down, or the first read is covered ... it's as true for the offense as it is for the enemy D.

Veach did an interview where he said that it's become a focus of their scouting of late - guys that they are confident have the situational awareness to realize that the ball could come to them at any time.
I mean I know we'd like to think that all players are like that, but we also know they aren't. It's a decade of habit for most of them - if you're 40-50 yards away from your QB and 6 seconds into the play, the ball's probably not coming your direction.
Mahomes just changes the calculus.
