I understand your angst. You are tougher than me. I let my season tix go years ago. I no longer wanted to financially support an inferior product. But I am still a fan. BUT telling a tongue in cheek OP to shove it, might show that you take either football or BB's way too seriously. Or maybe you don't get "tongue in cheek"?
So, yes, you are purely within your right. But it's not overly flattering. And does make you seem a bit angry.
