You know the feeling.

4th down; 1:30 left in the game, up 4 but the opponent has the ball and is driving. You watch the formation and think things are going to be alright. Then the QB gives a quick foot pump and the slot guy goes across the formation but nobody follows.

Suddenly Emmanuel Sanders is isolated on Jamell Fleming.

You watch the snap hopefully but you know how this is going to end. Oh sure, part of you says "Maybe Houston bends the edge and gets to the QB to interrupt the pass and we sneak out of here with the W" but deep down in your heart of hearts you know that Houston never actually makes that play, not when it has to happen. No, you know that Houston has probably been sent out into coverage and that this is all going to go horribly, horribly wrong.

"And the Kansas City Chiefs are on the clock...."

The ball is released - you think maybe THIS time, Fleming makes a break on the ball. Or maybe we finally rolled coverage and Berry will come underneath to break it up. Maybe THIS time, things will be different....

"We have a trade..."

But it's never different, Pest. It's never different. No, Jamell Fleming fell down again and for some reason Eric Berry is double teaming the TE...with Justin Houston. The ball sails unmolested to an open Emmanual Sanders who strolls into the end zone. It's all over but the crying. The hail mary's and the kneel downs - those are the inevitable fatties, defensive backs and backup quarterbacks we'll be drafting in the aftermath. They are all formalities - we all died inside the moment the ball was caught.

Because....Chiefs.
