As much as it sucks being in a small market, it sure has saved us from doling out some terrible contracts over the years - Omar notwithstanding. Seems like the teams that really get hosed are the wannabe-rich teams like the Padres. There's NY/Bos and the two LA teams, then a second tier of wannabes like SD, Detroit and Philly who are getting destroyed by contracts right now.
