I compiled the total number for snaps for all the defensive linemen. Some conclusions.
- Of course like most other NFL teams, the Chiefs use many different alignments and personnel groups, depending on situation. The positional titles of DT and DE are somewhat arbitrary.
- The Chiefs nominal defensive ends take more snaps than nominal defensive tackles. Jones alone takes almost half of the snaps of nominal defensive tackles.
- Some of the "Nnadi is the worst ever" talk is hyperbole. He took more snaps, and played a higher percentage of downs when he was available, than many of other players on the DL.
- I'm glad to have him back at the price until we can find someone better.
