Your 2 assumptions here that the world is pure and Jesus corrupts are false.
The world was already corrupt by "original sin" by the time God becomes incarnate in the person of Jesus. Jesus cannot corrupt because He is God therefore He is sinless and perfect. Remember God gives freewill to man to choose. And nowhere in the Bible does God say you cannot drink wine/ETOH. The Bible/God clearly states though do not get drunk with wine/ETOH. Therefore because Jesus turned the water into wine, he was being gracious and generous providing a beverage that the wedding party/guests desired with their food that had run out. If the guests chose(freewill) to get drunk then that is on them in their own sin.
